How to use Zoom for live Q+As:

Joining a Zoom Q+A:

Q+As will take place via Zoom. We recommend downloading the Zoom app in advance onto your computer or smartphone. You can create an account to log-in, but it is not a requirement.

At the scheduled start time, click on the access link on directly on the Eventive page or in your access email, enter your email address and full name, and the conversation will automatically start once all panelists are ready. Conversations will become live on the scheduled Q+A start time. Zoom links can also be found here.

Once joining the conversation, you have the option to turn on your camera to be visible to audience and panelists. Microphones will remain muted unless opened by the admin for you to ask a question.

Asking questions during Q+A

Questions to panelists can be submitted throughout the Q+A by typing them in the Chat feature on Zoom. You may also use the “Raise Hand” function. The moderator will choose which questions to direct to the panelists based on relevance and time restrictions. We do not guarantee all questions will be answered, or the order in which they are answered.

If your questions is picked – you will be notified via the Zoom Chat by a festival producer. When it is your turn to ask a question – the moderator will call your name, and your mic will be un-muted for you to ask your question live. If you do not want to ask your question live, please mention when submitting it in the chat for the moderator to read it out.

Please only submit one question, and keep questions short and concise.

Q+A etiquette:

Please engage respectfully. Any inappropriate or offensive conduct or comments during a Q+A may cause you to be removed from the Q+A session by our system administrator.
